Information: The Pokemon game for Game Boy Advance (GBA). The game has been released in Japan (11/21/02). The game has been released in the US (03/19/03). The Europe release is expected to be April/May 2003, that's subject to change. There are two versions, called Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire. The game will feature improved graphics, and 135 new Pokemon, which makes a grand total of 386 Pokemon. Ruby/Sapphire uses an entirely new numbering system, having old and new Pokemon mixed in all together, with all the Pokemon you can't capture in Ruby/Sapphire starting from #203. There are 202 different Pokemon available for capture (although the Pokemon #201 and #202 can only be obtained through a Nintendo promotion like Mew and Celebi). Also, there will also be two on two battling, which means using two Pokemon to battle at a time. In Ruby/Sapphire, you will not be able to trade Pokemon with past versions. It is not known at the current time how it will possible to get all Pokemon with only 202 available and without the ability to trade with past versions. However, it may be possible the uncapturable Pokemon will be available in a future version(s).
